Health Care

We are starting to find out about the "bribes" that Dingy Reid is offering. Sen. Nelson got free medicaid for his state for the rest of eternity. Sen. Sanders got $10 billion pet project for his state. Sen. Landrieu got $300 million for her state. There is still 97 Senators left! Maybe I should write to my other Senator, Nevada has the second highest unemployment rate in the nation and the great and mighty Senate Majority Leader has done nothing for his own state. It is so absurd, health care legislation and it's filled with pork! Why not develop a bill that could stand on it's own merit and not be bogged down by bribes and back room meetings?

The question I have is, what are they trying to do? They are not trying to fix health care, that much is obvious. Are they trying to get their names in the history books? It seems more like that, all they talk about is the historic legislation, not actually fixing the problems. If this was really about health care and making it better for Americans, wouldn't it include limiting lawsuits or abuse and fraud? If it was really trying to make health insurance more affordable, wouldn't it include interstate purchase of policies or portability? It it was really about helping Americans wouldn't they revamp medicaid to cover the 12 million people that need it? Would they really destroy the entire health care industry instead of fixing areas that need it?

The health care bill is not about health care, if it was there would be no mention of reconciliation (no legislative language & five year limit). The health care bill is about control, control over the people, control of their decisions, control of their lives.

We must kill this bill!
