Here is the body of the letter just sent to the Senate majority leader. Please copy and send to any Senator that voted for this health care train wreck bill.
I can not begin to tell you how disappointed I am about the health care bill. From what I have been following, it seems like there is nothing left in the bill but taxes and government mandates. How is that going to help the American people? There is no tort reform, no portability, no reform of abuses in medicare or medicaid or even a citizenship requirement. The public option has been pulled, early enrollment in medicare has been pulled, what is left? Why is there no republicans allowed in on the closed door meetings? What about transparency and working with both sides of the aisle? Why won't you release the bill so the American People can see what is in it? It's disgraceful to see the midnight sessions, closed door meetings, weekend sessions to cram through health care legislation that no one knows what is actually in it. Have you even read the bill? I would like to, but you won't let me or millions of other people have the chance with something as important as OUR health care, not yours, but the American people. If this bill is so wonderful, why do you have to bribe senators with pork politics? How does this bill lower costs? The CBO's report showed that the bill would do nothing to curb costs. How does this bill create competition? Wouldn't interstate purchase of health insurance do that? The CBO also reported that only 96% of people would be covered, which means the 12 million people who really need the assistance still won't be covered. Who is this bill really for? It does not seem to be for the American people.
I have now given up on you to do the right thing and I am now going to do everything in my power to make sure you do not see another term in the US Senate. I am going to rally my friends, knock on doors and become personally involved in the election of your opponent in next years election.

A good letter. Many of us feel this way.
ReplyDeleteNo Reid No Way
Why can't Senator Reid understand how we feel? Does he not work for us (and U.S.)
